Hazel Lam

Hazel Lam graduated from the Northern Ballet School (Manchester) and then joined Cairo Opera Ballet. When she returned to the UK, she discovered the circus and took professional training at various circus schools. She has worked with renowned dance and circus companies at international level. She is now focusing on her philosophy studies at KU Leuven and her solo creation, ‘To the Lighthouse’.

“I am at the stage where I am transforming from a performer into a maker. ‘To the Lighthouse’ is my first fully-fledged solo and I wanted to get support and feedback during the creation process. The fact that someone works with you in the studio ensures that creating is more fruitful and enjoyable.”
