“Dance is a journey for me, through my own body, sometimes with others, sometimes alone. It is a chance to discover what moves my body and mind, literally and figuratively, and to listen to and show that in its purest form”
Karolien Heyndrickx has dance and music in her genes, and tried various styles and trends through the years before she began to feel the need to tell her own story. In ‘Lost in Space’, she goes in search of what space does with a body. Is it liberation, does it create fear, does a body need boundaries or are boundaries an annoying limitation, and how is that expressed in movement?
