For Alex, studying only contemporary dance felt incomplete. He learned various hip-hop styles, martial arts and improvisation to sample a new aesthetic and develop his creativity. Alex started out with a mission: to become a choreographer who makes a meaningful contribution to the field of dance and performance and to society. Alex wants to create dance that is original and non-conventional: choreography that is radically new, rather than building on a current or earlier trend. Something timeless.
He is searching for dance that moves people, in every possible way. Alex wants to make us look inwards and reflect. In this way, he tries to create harmony between what is on the inside and on the outside, between the heart and the body.
“I want to reconnect dance with our most cherished emotions, while expanding the bodies we have created.”
