Up-and-coming talent and strong dance performances on the stage of Vooruit (Gent)! The Great Belgian Dance Showcase brings together choreographers from all parts of Flanders and Brussels. The selected choreographers have been intensively coached and presented their creations to the public in Ghent on Saturday 11th May 2019.
A glimpse of the programme: there are performances by Kristien Maus, Michel Kiyombo, Dries Verstreepen & Nele Van Bogaert, Fanny Vandesande & Vania D’Angelo, Teuta Dibrani & Lieselotte Peeters, Júlia Godino Llorens & Alexa Moya Panksep, Manou Selhorst & Lore Dekeyser, Verona Verbakel, Helena Vandecasteele en Ruth Muylle.

What happens when
Send us a short demo film of your creation or work in progress. We will show it to a team of dance experts who will select the projects in which they see potential for artistic growth.
Does your performance fulfil the Main Showcase Rules? If so, you will have the chance to perform your work in progress before an impressive panel of dance experts. They will listen to your story, talk to you about where you want to go and give you constructive feedback on your work.
But remember: full is full! If there are too many applications, we will make a pre-selection based on artistic growth, originality and creativity. You will find out before the Christmas holidays whether we are expecting you and your dancers at the presentation on 3 February (at Minard theatre in Ghent).
Important: all participants in the presentation will receive coaching from an expert, so participation is always worthwhile and an unforgettable experience in itself!
The feedback team will select about ten projects to receive intensive coaching from an expert over several weeks. This will help you work towards a fully-fledged production.
